This is one of Dad's favourites. It’s known as a haptic coin. It has magnets inside and as you turn it, you feel a click of sensory feedback as one magnet snaps to the other. You can hear the snap, however, the snap is quieter if you press a little harder, for, you know, those quieter places. Each piece is made of solid stainless steel with six magnets each.
Sandwiched between them is a thrust bearing which makes the two pieces feel like they float as you turn them. Its size makes it highly portable and discreet. Pop it in your pocket or handbag; it takes up barely any room.
